Specifications
The Liebert® DSE in 265kW capacity is a free cooling economization system with backup DX compressor, which achieves the high efficiency without using water. The system can achieve an annual operational PUE under 1.2., while eliminating water usage, cost and treatment. Its large condenser surface area minimizes operating and peak power to minimize generator backup or free up additional saleable IT power. Unlike heat wheels, it has no air leakage or volumetric displacement, eliminating the need for additional fan power or make-up air capacity. As a self-contained solution, Liebert® DSE system is highly scalable for fast deployment and time to market. The Liebert® DSE 265kW is comprised of a packaged pumped refrigerant economizer and a micro-channel condenser, plus an indoor CRAC unit. The system operates in free cooling or partial free cooling mode, depending upon outdoor temperatures. When criteria for economization are met, the compressors turn off and the refrigerant pump turns on to move the refrigerant through the system to reject the heat of the data center, using only a fraction of the power of a compressor. Automated economization, controlled by the advanced Liebert® iCOM™ control, maximizes the number of free cooling hours by enabling economization whenever conditions warrant, including evening and night-time hours. It also eliminates the use of water. The Liebert® DSE system was recently approved by the State of California as a prescriptive option for economization under Title 24. Additionally, the system protects against outside air contamination and reduces system wear and tear by eliminating air dampers and louvers. Air-cooled free-cooling system with water-free economization, a rapidly deployable configuration and advanced Liebert® iCOM™ thermal controls to optimize each unit and harmonize the operation of multiple units for temperature and airflow.
Air-cooled free-cooling system with water-free economization, a rapidly deployable configuration and advanced Liebert® iCOM™ thermal controls to optimize each unit and harmonize the operation of multiple units for temperature and airflow. Highly scalable and modular design accommodates changing IT loads and is ideal for upgrading outdated or inefficient cooling systems.
